A Lovely day at the beach

She is my Lamma mate called Miu Miu. :D We met for the first time today. *Exciting* We walked to the beach together, we chatted and played some volleyball. It was good fun.

The last time I played volleyball with my ex-workmates was about 10 years ago. Wahh... ages ago, really! I am feeling old. hahaha Something you don't know about me, I was in the school's volleyball team. So was MiuMiu. :) lol We are ho king wor! :) hai mic! wahahahaha

Now...my lower arms are very red and I can see the broken capillaries. Very scary! lol

The most enjoyable thing I did today.... was swimming at the beach. It was really really cool. And the sunset was beautiful. It was romantic to see that with Miu Miu. lol :) We left the beach around 7:30pm. It was such a lovely day! We should do it again. :)

We normally fly with BA or Virgin. But this time we decided to try Oasis instead and see whether they are any good. I booked it online. It was easy. We managed to save some money as well. We paid $7500 for 2 return tickets which was definitely a bargain! Our outbound flight was fine. Good service, friendly cabin crew, comfortable seats, lots of leg room and you get 2 hot meals and drinks. (The food was better on the way back home from London)

But the bad thing was......it took me more than an hour to get through immigration. I didn't like it at all. I felt like waiting in the queue for ages and It was really hot in there. IF you hold a British passport, you are fine there. It wouldn't take long.


We went to M&S and bought a lot of food. hahaha :) This is a mini pork pie. YUM!

We've got 2 new dining chairs!

Woohoo!!! Hubby came home with 2 new dining chairs last night. They are very comfortable to sit on and the colour goes well with the rest of our furniture which is great.

Next time when our mates come over for dinner or something, they have somewhere to park their arses. ho ho ho ho BTW, our chairs are exactly the same as these in this picture. But we only have 2. wahahahahaha So...someone has to sit on the floor. :P

Was once a meat eater......

I cooked Eggplant Pilaf for dinner last night. I used all these veggies, plus 1 onion and rice. It was very nice. There was no meat in the dish. I loved it.

Do you know that I was once a meat eater? lol I didn't eat any veggies until I was 15. Pretty scary, huh?

切 前 將 洋 放 入 雪 櫃 雪 約 5 至 10 分 鐘 ， 令 洋 發 揮 較 少 的 刺 激 氣 味 。

2. 浸 泡 法

將 洋 頭 尾 切 去 ， 再 對 切 一 半 後 放 於 冷 水 中 浸 泡 10 分 鐘 後 切 。

3. 流 動 洗 法

開 水 喉 ， 將 洋 放 在 流 動 的 水 下 切 ， 可 是 這 方 法 較 浪 費 。

Home baked cheese & pesto pizza (20 July)

5 star pizza! hahaha :) Toppings: pesto sauce, garlic, mozzarella, parmesan, sausage, dried oregano & cherry tomato. I really like pesto on pizza. It smells and tastes so good. I will make it again since we both love it. :D

We have a visitor. He is hubby's new friend or I should say his new pet. This baby gecko is not scared of people which is quite strange. He walks around our place a lot. The other day, I saw him trying to get to the other side of the wall but he fell down. He definitely needs to practise more. It was funny to see that though! lol hahaha Evil me!

I remember seeing lots of them in Sabah during our holiday, my sisters and I were pretty scared of geckos. The first night, we couldn't sleep very well. There were lots of them in our hotel room and also in the lobby. lol It was scary! Those ones were fat as well. But now I am not afraid of them anymore because my hubby keeps saying that they are very cute and cool. I think.... I am convinced. :) ho ho ho

Four Cheese Pizza

Topping for 1 (10-inch) pizza

2 TB. pesto
34 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 plum tomatoes, sliced
2 oz. goat cheese, crumbled
1 tsp. dried oregano
2 TB. grated Parmesan cheese
Brush rolled out pizza dough with pesto.
Spread the mozzarella and fontina cheeses evenly over the top
Arrange the tomatoes over the cheese
Sprinkle with the goat cheese, oregano, and Parmesan.
Bake until the crust is brown and cheese is melted, 10-12 minutes

For Kris Wong (Pizza dough and tomato sauce)

To make pizza dough:

Ingredients:
5g yeast dissolved in the water
100ml warm water (between 30-40C)
170g bread flour
1 tablespoon olive oil
a pinch of salt
1 tablespoon of honey

Place flour in a large mixing bowl, add the salt, honey and olive oil. Next, mix in the water-yeast mixture, and knead it until the dough is smooth and elastic. Place the dough into a lightly oiled bowl and cover it with a cloth or plastic wrap. Let it rise in a warm place for two hours. After dough has risen, punch it down then knead for about a minute and let it rise for another hour. When the dough is ready, roll it out and top with sauce and cheese and all your favourite toppings! :)
Bake in a 200C oven for 15 minutes.

Note: Let the sauce cool before spreading it on the pizza dough.
You can also let the dough rise in the fridge overnight.

To make tomato sauce:
diced tomatoes 300g
minced garlic 1/2 t
diced onion 100g
sugar 10g
salt 3g
tomato paste 40g
black pepper
oregano

I baked cheese scones this morning. :D Hubby had 2 of them for breakfast.

Live Free or Die Hard (2007)

We watched Die Hard 4 at IFC Palace last night. :) We sat in the second row from the screen but it wasn't too bad since there was lots of space between the screen and the first row. I enjoyed watching it a lot. The action was fantastic and it was really exciting and fun to watch (a bit over the top but all good). I reckon this is the best action movie I've seen this year.

Uncle Bruce Willis is still looking cool even though he is 52 years old. He doesn't look it at all! :)

肥仔朱古力奶

Roger got me this chocolate drink last week. I had most of it. It tasted good but when I saw the label on the packaging, I got a shock!! It said it had 8XX kcal in a 300ml bottle. LOL Bloody hell!! It has more calories than some greasy but yummy Chinese fried noodles. Hubby should drink more, then he could be a lovely 肥仔 fat boy slim. haha ^^

See my mum and dad

We went to see some computer stuff in Wan Chai this afternoon. After we finished window shopping, hubby went to work and I went for a check-up at the clinic.

I didn't tell my mum that I was going there tonight! It was a surprise! When she saw me, she was very very happy! She cooked lots of yummy dishes. I had lion's heads, pak choi, chicken curry with potatoes, meat stew, fish and veggie soup and lots of shrimps (mum peeled them for us(my sis and me) ;D hehe. Oh we had watermelon after the dinner. :) It was very juicy and sweet!

I got some food for Roger as well. :) He can have it when he comes home. He loves lion's heads! lol

New Layout

Yesterday, we were busy moving furniture around. Did some cleaning and tidying up. We like the new layout a lot. It's much better. Especially when we sit on the sofa and listen to music. The sound is better!

My version of minced pork and potato pie

I made a new dish last night. It's like Shepherd's pie but I used minced pork instead of lamb. :p It tasted delicious. None left now! hehe I am gonna make it again for sure.

I need this kind of comfort food to cheer me up a bit when I have PMS. hahahaha Like now! :P

What you need:
olive oil, butter, garlic, onion, shallot, worcester sauce, tomato puree, cinnamon, paprika, basil, salt & pepper, chicken stock, minced pork, sausage, flour, 2 potatoes (cook and mash) and grated parmesan cheese.

Pour the meat mixture into casserole dish, then top with the mashed potatoes. Sprinkle paprika and top with cheese. Bake in oven at 200C for 30 mins.

Yvonne got 2 movie tickets from her ex-boss (female) and she gave them to us. ho ho ho It's great to have lovely sisters. She is just one of them. I have 3 sisters! :) Lucky me!

Mandy and me went to see Harry Potter 2007 in MCL JP. She took me out for dinner. :) We had Japanese ramen 豬軟骨拉麵 and 燒鰻魚飯 grilled eel on rice at 別府驛前料理 Beppu Ekimae. The food was not bad. But I still prefer Yokozuna 橫綱 in Yau Ma Tei. Actually, I haven't been there for 5 or 6 years. I do want to go there again. But 老公 ng hai ho like ramen! :P That's a problem! haha

My sister fell asleep during the movie. lol I kept waking her up. It was very funny!

Love 玄米茶 Genmaicha -Tea

I love Genmaicha brown rice green tea! 很香 很香 很香 好好飲 很舒服 after drinking it! I normally have it after meals. I got mine from Sogo supermarket. The brand is 宇治.

玄 米 茶 有 清 血 、 分 解 膽 固 醇 同 排 毒 作 用. :) So healthy desu ne!

Pilaf Rice (Turkish style)

I cooked eggplant stew and pilaf rice for our dinner last night. :)
It was very good. Hubby loved it. hehe :) He's already asked me to do it again!
