Plitvice Lakes National Park (May 09)

We took the bus from Split to Plitvice Lakes. It took 6 hours to get there. It was quite a long journey. But I was looking out of the window a lot. There was so much to see. I saw Trogir, Sebenik, Zadar... and some other places. It was such a stunning scenic ride. :) Loved it!

We didn't book a room before we got there because we weren't sure how things went and where the bus driver would drop us off and stuff like that.

We were lucky though. We got off the bus at Mukinje before heading to ST2. The driver said there were lots of sobe sobe. hahaha And he was right about that. I went up the hill and found one. There was a lady standing outside her apartment. I chatted with her and she showed me 2 different rooms. I chose a double room with a shared bathroom since she said there were no other guests on the same floor. And it was cheaper as well. :) GREAT!

It was nearly dinner time when we arrived there. The host told us a good place to eat.


Hubby chose this meaty dish. It was delicious! :-)
Grilled pork chop, sausages, beef, tomato rice, ham with chips and it came with salad as well. All tasted good. :)


You know what we missed from home when we were in Croatia?

It was COFFEE! We were so chuffed with the decent coffee that the host made for us with her moka pot. :-) It was so GOOD! Mmm.....

After breakfast, the host's husband gave us a lift to the entrance of ST2. :) It was very kind of them!
