From Korcula to Split (May 2009)
We took the morning ferry at 6am again. :P Actually, it was the only ferry we could get from Korcula to Split. They really should run it more often. :)
By the time we got to Split. It was 8:30am. My first impression wasn't very good as I found it quite dirty compared with Dubrovnik, Korcula and Hvar. Also, there was quite a lot of rubbish in the drains. It wasn't a nice scene.
Friendly people! :) You see they are smiling! :D
Our apartment inside Diocletian's Palace. Shower was no good. Hot water lasted for 3 mins. lol Apart from that, it was a nice place to stay for a night.
Diocletian's Palace was built by the Roman emperor Diocletian at the turn of the fourth century. We did feel quite special staying in this little apartment. :)
Wandering around and taking photos but there wasn't much to see!
Will I return to Split? I don't think so. It's quite a dull place to be honest.
Our dinner at Fife - Food was alright and the wine tasted like water. :) lol We noticed that they liked to water down their wine and it wasn't just this place. We could tell many other restaurants did that too. Most of the time we didn't even feel a tiny bit tipsy. :P
Street cats :)
Night time
Riva (Sea promenade)
Pretty building
Just had our breakfast at Bobis. They had some nice cakes there!
After breakfast, we wanted to eat again. lol We went to this hotel cafe for a yummy omelette. It was very GOOD. 5 stars! Service was great too. They didn't charge us for the bread which was nice. LOL
Enjoying it :)

Hi Stella! Like the pics; I don't know why I haven't pics from the Diocletian palace. But that was in the early 1980s... ;) Shame that it's down; Split was a nice place!
The Republic of Uzupis. Never heard? Blogtrotter has it for you… ;) Enjoy and have a great weekend!
