Istanbul Trip Day 4 (24 May 2007) Part 1

The weather was great today. We decided to visit Topkapi Palace. Going there was easy, as it was very close to our hotel. We just walked there. It only took us about 10 mins.

We checked out the gardens first, then the Palace, and lastly the Harem. We spent over 4 hours there. It was very interesting but a bit expensive to see everything in there. We didn't see the Treasury Section.

We went to Konyali for a long lunch. It was fantastic! The stuffed lamb was just gorgeous and the Turkish coffee was really good. We also had borek and salad. Everything was wonderful. Shame about we didn't have room for dessert! :p

Since 1897! Amazing!

Waiting for food! :D

Borek

Season Salad

Stuffed Lamb (the best)

Enjoy your meal, Sir!

The white drink is Ayran (yoghurt drink). It tasted alright.

:D very happy

We went to the Spice Market and saw the new mosque(Yeni Cami). We sat down on a bench and talked to strangers. It was funny! :)

We also went to Taksim in the evening. It was very busy and lively there. A totally different atmosphere to Sultanahmet.

Just noticed I've got too many photos to show you. hahaha So I'd better stop here. :)
