Arrived in Ljubljana by train from Zagreb (May 09)

The train ride was quite comfortable. But the police spent ages checking our passports. They thought hubby was using a fake passport or something. lol Anyway, it was okay in the end. :) By the time we got to Ljubljana. It was around 4pm.

We walked to Fluxus Hostel. It was quite easy to find it. There were 2 flights of stairs leading up to the hostel. Hubby was very strong taking our suitcases up there. lol Although, he has done it many times in Croatia. I still found him very herotastic when he did it. :)

The hostel owner gave us a welcome drink when we arrived. This Slovenian beer tasted very clean and mild.

Super tidy and clean! :)

Our double room - It was a bit small but nicely decorated which we liked. :) The guy who ran this place was extremely helpful and friendly. We asked him where we could get a memory card from and he was so kind to help us get it. He drove to the shop and back in the hostel within half an hour. We were very amazed by his kindness.

One night, we were chatting together on the balcony. He told us a lot of things about Ljubljana and his life. It was very interesting. :)

We went for a walk after dinner. There was a big party going on. People were everywhere. They were chatting, drinking and dancing. We were very happy to see that. It was great. The atmosphere was really cool and fun. We suddenly felt very young again. :-p hahahaha ^^

Ban Jelačić Square - many people there at the weekends

Dolac Market

Nice details :)

When we were on our way to find the Chinese restaurant, we went into this bakery shop and bought a sausage roll. It was a very good one and it was hot. :D We so wanted to get another one but didn't. :) We were good! lol

Purple tram :) - I noticed people there loved purple clothing as well. :)

It was so hot and we were getting a bit tired from walking. We found this Snoopy cafe for some coffee and a sit down. Oh I needed the toilet as well. lol The problem we had in Croatia was that there were no public toilets. How come?

Going to have some Chinese food for a change! Hubby said he got fed up with Croatian food. We always had salami, cheese, bread, pasta, pizza and lots of grilled meat! Not so healthy. :P I had problems with water retention there.

mmm... not bad!

Their ice-cream wasn't as good as Italian ice-cream. :P

Quite pretty!
